Therapy
People seeking relief from physical challenges such as muscle tension, headaches, digestive problems and menopausal symptoms can benefit from Shiatsu treatment. Shiatsu sessions are especially helpful in dealing with stress, sleep problems, low energy levels, exhaustion and mood swings or as a support during crisis situations.
Shiatsu is a holistic therapy which looks at the whole person and works by activating the body’s own self-healing capabilities. The gentle massage and movements sense and work with the whole body and respond to the specific needs of the individual.
Treatment Sessions
Each session begins with a 5-10 minute talk to clarify the client’s personal circumstances and the specific wishes and goal of the treatment session. At the first meeting a more in- depth discussion regarding any problems or health issues is carried out. After each treatment session there is a brief, quiet reflective period followed by the opportunity to discuss your experience or ask questions.
Comfortable clothing is worn during the treatment session which is carried out at floor level on a Japanese futon or on a massage table. Please bring training trousers (full length), a long sleeved T-shirt and warm socks with you.
Each treatment lasts 50-60 minutes and takes place in a peaceful environment where you can close out the external world to gain inner strength and a state of tranquility.
The frequency of treatment sessions is agreed depending on the individual requirements.
